As you know, Femme Wave is undergoing transformation to radically center LGBTQ2SIA+ and BIPOC community members in every aspect of our work.We are super excited for you to get to know the team who is helping us start and hold this conversation.

Meet the team!
• Jordan Baylon is a Queer, Non-Binary FilipinX artist and community worker born and raised in Mohkinstsis (Calgary). Their work is in direct support of anti-racism and equity, and how we can all share the full benefit of the unique offerings we can make to the community.

• Priscilla Cherry, Nitu Purna and Iftu Hargaaya are Co-Founders of The Colour Factor, an organization founded and led by racialized women dedicated to decolonizing health and wellness.

Our transformation survey

Jordan administered a survey to be completed by anyone who sees the value of an artistic and social platform that honours and uplifts the lived experiences of femme and non-binary folks in Mohkinstsis/Calgary.

For those who would feel more comfortable having a one-on-one conversation instead of completing the survey, Jordan offered that opportunity and will be facilitating those conversations soon.

We acknowledge that there may have been aspects of the survey that surfaced powerful feelings or responses. The Colour Factor team was available to offer support and guidance throughout the process, and will continue to make that offering during the one-on-one conversations. Their team is contributing shared tools and approaches for grounding this work in restorative justice and healing.

Stay in touch

We won't bug you very much or ever share your information. Promise!
