We had the pleasure of seeing Eekwol absolutely tear up stages at this year’s Calgary Folk Music Festival with her rapping partner in crime, T-Rhyme, and we’re so psyched to have her back in Calgary for Femme Wave. Eekwol is a member of Muskoday First Nation and brings a lifelong background of Plains Cree traditional music and culture to her hard-hitting, groundbreaking brand of hip hop. She’s a master of the mic as well as a community organizer and activist. Truly, we are not worthy but we are #blessed to have her hit our festival stage.
